DATAWIZ-IN SCHOLARS PROGRAM
Indiana University (IUI) invites motivated undergraduate and graduate scholars from historically underrepresented racial and ethnic communities to join the National Library of Medicine funded Datawiz-IN Scholars training program and gain hands-on research experience to offer a competitive edge for furthering careers in biomedical sciences.
The Datawiz-IN Scholars Program engages students through a fully funded summer research internship to gain hands-on skills and experience one on one mentorship with faculty. Students spend their time learning research skills including computational and data science approaches necessary for modern biomedical research, attending lab meetings, and interacting with other labs members. Each student is mentored by a faculty mentor and solve real research problems in a research laboratory.
PROGRAM BENEFITS:
- Competitive stipend (up to $4,000)
- Tier 1 research with distinguished faculty
- GRE prep courses
- Student poster symposium
- On-campus housing
- Weekend social excursions
